My humanity is my ministry.
heART is a short documentary about Jasmine Schlafke, a dynamic spoken word artist who integrates her activism with creative expression. As a woman of color and teen mother who was diagnosed with a learning disability and as bipolar, Jasmine has overcome many obstacles in order to create and share her voice. Her work embodies lessons from the heart as she shares her stories in hopes to provide language for those silenced. By speaking her story, she hopes to empower others to speak out in order to create social change.
